Breaking down the barrier a prospect puts up when you first make contact with them should really be a pretty simple process.
How so? That’s easy…don’t ram your primary business offer down their throat the very first time you speak with them.
It’s been the achiles heel of network marketers since this great industry started about the middle of last century and continues to hurt the chances of MLMers in building successful network marketing businesses today.
Ann Sieg introduced a new concept to MLMers in 2007 via her book, The Renegade Network Marketer. It revolved around a topic called attraction marketing. The bottom line is instead of you harassing and chasing down your prospects, they actually come to you.
Sounds a little far-fetched in the network marketing world doesn’t it. Well the truth is it’s not and is very real. Believe it or not, putting yourself in front of the right crowd is one of the key elements in creating an endless stream of people who want to hear what you have to say.
The The Renegade Network Marketer has established the blueprint to real MLM success which requires no convincing anyone they have to do this business or else.
The first barrier you need to break down surrounds creating interest and desire in your prospect. Interest can be created through information you provide them such as a report on just about anything to do with improving their current financial position.
The report needs to be something that will then create a desire within them to want to know more. If that desire is created then they will be contacting you. But don’t stop at the first report. Offer them other valuable pieces of information over a period of time.
By doing this, you are establishing yourself as someone with plenty of credibility and a valuable part of the prospect’s future endeavors to expand their current knowledge and efforts to improve their financial stability.
Compare this to “jumping at them” with your business opportunity from the very first moment you meet them and then ask yourself which is likely to create a lasting relationship with them.
One smacks of being a desperate marketer while the other emanates a sincere desire on your part that you really are interested in their future financial well being.
Do this over and over again and over time, you will not only build your business but you will have a solid team of business builders working with you doing the same.
