Bluetooth devices: Make It Possible To Wirelessly Connect For Voice And Data

Saturday 28 July 2007 @ 6:46 am

There are many diverse uses of bluetooth devices, and with many novel and emerging technologies enabling users to connect with various devices with the help of Bluetooth technology the market for such products is growing rapidly, worldwide. A person could have Bluetooth headsets, earphones, USB dongles, and USB dongles with built-in antennas as well as Bluetooth GPS receivers. Bluetooth wireless technology is primarily a short-range communications technology developed to replace the cable connecting many devices in use today, and maintain high levels of security that is a hallmark of wired technology.

With so many companies producing many different Bluetooth devices, the user has many choices on which Bluetooth device to use. Many big name players are offering low cost as well as high-tech enabled items such headsets, mobile phone accessories, office equipment, input devices, handhelds, and many audio and visual products to pick and choose from. Major players include Plantronics Inc., Tom Tom, Nokia Corporation, Hewlett-Packard Company and more.

Most manufacturers provide device pairing instructions for connecting Bluetooth devices, and these include Bluetooth personal computer to a mouse or keyboard, Bluetooth stereo headphones to Bluetooth mobile phone, and Bluetooth mobile phone to Bluetooth personal computers. For Bluetooth devices that are not among the more common pairings, there are usually generic instructions for the user to follow.

Latest Technologies

Friday 27 July 2007 @ 12:50 am

The latest technologies are always available to the public as soon as they can be. Companies know that people want whenever they can get to make their lives easier, and look to get these things on the market as quickly as they possibly can. What you don’t know is that the latest technologies you are seeing in the stores today have probably been in production for years now, but have just now been perfected enough to be released to the public. There’s no sense releasing something that only half works, because everyone will become frustrated and the product will fail.

Some of the latest technologies that have caught my attention are those that can help with your home. For the most part, your computer can run your house for you. This may sound like something out of the Jetsons cartoon, but this is true. The latest technology can help you program your computer to turn your lights on and off for you, monitor your security system, and pay your bills for you without you having to think about it. This is just the tip of the iceberg, and I’m sure whatever the latest technologies may be, my husband will be the first to tell me what they are. Perhaps one of these days he will be able to go out and be one of the first people to buy something new.

Why a GPS Tracking Device is a Good Investment

Monday 23 July 2007 @ 6:22 am

Running a successful business is definitely a hard thing to do in today’s world. One of the most important parts of succeeding in today’s business world is keeping track of your employees, your product, and your equipment.

At one time, keeping track of everything meant making frequent phone calls, relying on others to give you accurate information, and even some late nights dealing with the changing time zones to follow up on deliveries around the world.

Luckily, the advent of technology and something called a GPS tracking device has made the job of keeping track of things a little bit easier. Here are a few reasons why investing in a GPS tracking device might be a great idea.

Reason # 1: Keep Track of Your Company Vehicles

With the prices of gasoline on today’s market, going on the most efficient delivery route is essential. Prior to the introduction of a GPS tracking device, whether or not your employees strayed on those routes was completely unknown.

Now, by installing a GPS tracking device, you’ll be able to see in an instant where your delivery is, and approximately how long it will take him to get to the destination

Reason # 2: The Safety of Your Employees

Traveling is part of the business world; everyone knows that. In addition, depending on where your employee is going, and what they are carrying, the potential danger might increase accordingly. The ability to keep track of the location of your employee in real time means that you can be there to offer help if needed quickly.

No one likes to think that an accident could happen to one of their employees, but if it does happen, having a GPS tracking device on the vehicle can truly be a life saving device.

Reason # 3: Recovery of Stolen Merchandise

Like it or not, there probably will be a time when a company vehicle is stolen. Most police will tell you that without a GPS tracking device, the likelihood of finding the vehicle before it has been stripped for parts is pretty unlikely.

A GPS tracking device is a great help to police and other criminal authorities in finding and obtaining the stolen vehicle before too much damage has been done.

These are but a few of the reasons why investing in a GPS tracking device for your next company vehicle might be a good idea. The best course of action would be to sit down and consider the different options available to your company, and decide which device is best for you.

I Want The iPhone

Friday 20 July 2007 @ 6:20 am

My cell phone is my primary phone. On it, I receive both personal and business calls so it is a vital piece of technology in my life. My family lives all over the country so it helps me feel connected to them. The cell phone also is my business phone. Clients know that I always answer my cell phone when possible and promptly return my calls. So when I saw the voicemail feature on the new iphone, I was hooked.

The keyboard on the new iphone looks very impressive. I like the fact that it has a dictionary already in the phone. Also you can go back and correct a mistake without having to delete everything you typed after that point. It also has punctuation, another plus. Add to that you can sync this phone with your PC or MAC, another big plus.

Ok I already have a AT&T account. So I am waiting to see how much the phone cost. If it does retail for $500.00 I think it is well worth the price. I just have to figure how to get rid of that stupid sliver phone, any ideas?

Make the Most of Jawbone Bluetooth

Monday 9 July 2007 @ 8:15 pm

In order for a Blue Tooth to be successfully used, it must be compatible with the device that you are attempting to connect it with. There are many different reasons why you might want to use a Blue Tooth, and they include: Wireless networking between personal computers in a small area in which a low bandwidth would be required, and via OBEX (Object Exchange) the transfer of reminders, contacts, and appointments between compatible devices.

Most commonly, a Blue Tooth is used with hand-held computing devices and cell phones. The most common way for information to be exchanged in this manner is by transferring files from PDAs or phones to computers, or by using a Blue Tooth headset.

As new as the Blue Tooth is, it has already undergone several changes in the form of various versions. Security is, of course, the most important feature when dealing with wireless technology, so there are a number of developments being implemented to enhance those features.
