Online or off, good customer service is essential if you hope to maintain good business relationships. In order to maintain good relationships, you must be able to look at the client as your cash cow and you also need to look at them as an acquaintance you look forward to seeing each and every time you meet them again.

Cingular Wireless customer service is one of the best examples of customer service. The employees of Cingular are put through extensive business training programs and taught to handle the client to the best of their ability. If they aren’t able to handle clients to the customer’s satisfaction, then representatives know they risk the customer taking their business somewhere else and in that case, their jobs aren’t safe. If more companies drove that point home, then more companies would be more customer-driven just like Cingular Wireless and its competitor, Verizon.

Customer service representatives throughout the world know that they can offer good service to customers or bad service and they recognize the consequences of each. Employees of companies which provide great customer satisfaction are rewarded for their efforts and the people who don’t offer good customer service, are not. It’s really that simple. Companies are looking for employees who are company employees and company-driven as much as customer-driven.
