PortalBlogFeeder

Wednesday 25 July 2007 @ 11:01 pm

Portal blog feeder is one of the most powerful features available with Portal Feeder, or really available anywhere in the internet marketing world.

What it does is allow you to make posts to a number of different blogs, depending on your category. Posts are category specific, and can be randomized using different titles, body variations, keywords, and links, so you are not making the exact same post to every blog. Each should be a little different for maximum effect.

I’m using PBF to make this posting to a number of internet-related blogs!

Within hours, these posts will have been spidered by the search engines, and will start showing up as links back to my site. It’s true!

Overture and Conversion Tracking

Wednesday 25 July 2007 @ 9:10 am

Overture offers a similar paid “sponsored search” program as Google Adwords, with a few differences. Overture’s search sponsored search listings appear in a few search engines, the main one being Yahoo. mark ling review.
You can find Overture/ Yahoo! sponsored searches at:
The best programs they have are:

1. Sponsored search – which they claim lets you reach 80% of active Internet users through top search engine sites.

2. Search submit – adds your website affilorama to their database of free searches. This is a useful path to generating free traffic to your site.

3. Product submit – where you can potentially reach millions of motivated buyers through Yahoo! Shopping. Yahoo! Shopping is really nice because they make it very convenient for consumers to spend money by having things like the Yahoo! Wallet, which stores the customer’s credit card numbers and such.

If I had to pick one, I’d pick about affilorama. Why? Because the more search engines your listings appear on, the more customers you are going to attract. Sponsored Search puts your ads in the search results on eight of the top US search properties: MSN, Yahoo!, AltaVista, InfoSpace, AlltheWeb and NetZero.

Overture’s Sponsored Search is the equivalent of Google’s Adwords program.
They also have a Content Match program that goes beyond searches. It’s similar to Google’s Contextual Advertising. Content Match provides additional targeted leads on a pay-per-click basis (PPC), with separate pricing and tracking so you can control expenses and track ROI.

Like with Google, you get targeted traffic, you only pay when they click through to your site, and you can set your CPC.

Using the Conversion Counter
Overture offers a free conversion tracking tool called Conversion Counter. It tracks the number of conversions (sales, registrations, newsletter sign-ups) that come from your Overture listings. You can track conversions for your whole account and for each keyword and match type.

You want to use this tool because it gives you a way to detect how your clicks translate into sales and/or conversions. You’ll be able to evaluate how your account is doing and track the performance of each individual keyword and match type. This lets you to optimize your listings and get the most for your money from Overture.

How does it work? When a visitor clicks on one of your Overture listings and hits your landing page, the Conversion Counter puts a “cookie” on their browser. When they go to the sales page, Conversion Counter registers a conversion and ties it to that visitor’s previous search. The cookie stays active for 30 days, which lets you track conversions on visitors who go away but then come back later and buy. Getting started is easy. You just sign up for free, cut and paste some HTML from Overture into your web page, and you’re good to go.

Network Marketing Mentor - Find One Now Or Watch Your MLM Business Fail!

Monday 23 July 2007 @ 10:56 am

Who are you accountable to in your network marketing business. Do you have a mentor? One of the hardest things about working a home business is finding the motivation to do it.

Sounds strange doesn’t it. If your home business is your primary source of income then why wouldn’t you be motivated to do it? This is where a network marketing mentor comes in handy. I’m not necessarily talking about someone already involved in MLM but someone you fear and respect.

Network Marketing Mentor

Let’s face it, we have all been accountable to someone in our lives. Just think about when you go to a job. You are accountable to your boss. Most people fear their bosses but few respect them. Most bosses don’t have the ability to motivate their people the right way to produce optimum levels of productivity.

In your MLM business, how many times have you put off making a phone call, put off delivering flyers and decided at the last moment to miss a meeting because a favorite TV show was on that night. Well, that’s all about to change if you apply this one principle I’m going to tell you about now… appoint yourself a mentor.

Find An MLM Mentor

Think of someone in your life currently you hate to let down. It could be your father, a friend or even a work mate. Even better, think of someone you’d hate letting down because you have a fear of being seen in a bad light by them.

You know the type of person I’m talking about. Someone who has the ability to make people stop and listen and who has the ear of many. Someone you think is so important that you’d do anything to gain their respect.

Get on their bad side and suddenly you are in their firing line and the worst part about this is that the rest of the world will hear about it. Now why don’t you approach them with an offer of becoming your shadow.

Do It Today!

This is pretty simple. You want a network marketing mentor. Here are some things you can ask your prospective shadow:

“I am finding it difficult to get focussed on my home business. I’m looking for a person I can be accountable to once or twice a day. All I need is to present them with a list of to do’s each day and then report back to them with my completed tasks. I need someone I respect as a person and you were the first person I thought of. It won’t take up much of your time but I would need you to commit to me for at least a month.”

That’s it. Simple. You can either make a phone call or send them an email. You could even offer to pay them but more importantly, they need to commit to you. This is a powerful way to get yourself motivated. Done properly, a network marketing mentor can work wonders on your MLM business.

Why a GPS Tracking Device is a Good Investment

Monday 23 July 2007 @ 6:22 am

Running a successful business is definitely a hard thing to do in today’s world. One of the most important parts of succeeding in today’s business world is keeping track of your employees, your product, and your equipment.

At one time, keeping track of everything meant making frequent phone calls, relying on others to give you accurate information, and even some late nights dealing with the changing time zones to follow up on deliveries around the world.

Luckily, the advent of technology and something called a GPS tracking device has made the job of keeping track of things a little bit easier. Here are a few reasons why investing in a GPS tracking device might be a great idea.

Reason # 1: Keep Track of Your Company Vehicles

With the prices of gasoline on today’s market, going on the most efficient delivery route is essential. Prior to the introduction of a GPS tracking device, whether or not your employees strayed on those routes was completely unknown.

Now, by installing a GPS tracking device, you’ll be able to see in an instant where your delivery is, and approximately how long it will take him to get to the destination

Reason # 2: The Safety of Your Employees

Traveling is part of the business world; everyone knows that. In addition, depending on where your employee is going, and what they are carrying, the potential danger might increase accordingly. The ability to keep track of the location of your employee in real time means that you can be there to offer help if needed quickly.

No one likes to think that an accident could happen to one of their employees, but if it does happen, having a GPS tracking device on the vehicle can truly be a life saving device.

Reason # 3: Recovery of Stolen Merchandise

Like it or not, there probably will be a time when a company vehicle is stolen. Most police will tell you that without a GPS tracking device, the likelihood of finding the vehicle before it has been stripped for parts is pretty unlikely.

A GPS tracking device is a great help to police and other criminal authorities in finding and obtaining the stolen vehicle before too much damage has been done.

These are but a few of the reasons why investing in a GPS tracking device for your next company vehicle might be a good idea. The best course of action would be to sit down and consider the different options available to your company, and decide which device is best for you.

You can also hire someone to make you web site for you. Prices vary quite a bit depending on the webmaster and the complexity of the design. There are several things you need to consider when looking for a webmaster. Do your research first.

Are You Taking Advantage of Internet Conferencing Services for Your Organization?

Saturday 21 July 2007 @ 7:17 am

Effective communication is key to the success of any group or organization if they are to successfully move toward the common goal of the group, and effective communication has been significantly improved with almost every advancement in technology. One of the most important developments in communications, after the telephone, was webconferencing.

Teleconferencing allows groups of people to interact in a “virtual conference room” via phone or internet connections. With webconferencing, each person who wants to participate in the conference call dials into a central phone number, and usually enters a code in order to join the specific conference call they are wanting to attend. Over the last few years, Voice over Internet Protocol, or VoIP, services have become more common as well which has helped people to be able to participate in conference calls without having to worry about the cost of long distance. And, most recently, conference calls are being streamed over the internet and people can listen without needing the special hardware or software that VoIP requires, making these calls even more easy to participate in.

Holding teleconferences gives businesses a very cost effective way of having meetings over long distances, allowing them to conduct business presentations, to train employees, to hold seminars and workshops, and to deliver lectures and in general communicate and collaborate with people who do not physically have to be in the same location. As such, Internet conferencing solutions has already made a great positive impact in the effectiveness of communication for individuals and for organizations, and it is a technology that is sure to become more popular and offer even greater flexibility in the future.

Do You Know Your Demographic

Friday 20 July 2007 @ 10:11 pm

I’m going to save you $47, or maybe $197 (ever notice every ebook and internet product ends with a 7?) with this little piece of advice: Learn About Your Customer . There is it. Plain and simple. Too simple you’re thinking? Think again. Its been a constant message for successful salesmen for generations. The internet is no different. If you know your demographic, you will convert, and make the sale.

By understanding what your customer needs, you stand a much better chance of selling him / her a product they really need. If you are selling vacuum cleaners (or ebooks about carpet cleaning) to someone with a dirt floor, you wont convert. Instead, get to know your customers needs and wants. What motivates them? What product could they really use? Sell them a broom if that is what they need.

Your customer got into their hobby or interest for a reason. Do you know what that reason is? How well can your product address their needs. Sure, a slick sales page may get a couple of sales by creating a need or want. Its much easier to be a lemonade salesman on a hot summers day than trying to convince passersby that you’re lemonade is the best on a cool spring day.

That right there is the simplest message I could give you: sell to your customer’s needs. Its really that simple
