GPS computer software has given us the ability to be more efficient in numerous ways. Its effects can be felt in a broad spectrum of industries, especially in the automotive, maritime, and telecommunications fields.
Global positioning systems are the latest innovation in accurate geographic measurement. It’s free to use the signals that are transmitted by the multitude of GPS satellites orbiting the earth. People can only expect GPS technology to further proliferate in the coming years.
Probably one of the most popular uses of GPS computers is in automobile navigation systems. These GPS computers provide drivers with real-time information on their vehicle’s location, along with complete geographic maps, street names, and building locations. GPS computers designed for vehicles are capable of providing dynamic route information. If you need to get somewhere, simply select your destination and you will be shown the best route to take to get you there.
Another important use of GPS computers is its application in car theft prevention and tracking. Many vehicle tracking devices can be tracked by police departments when a theft take place. This makes car retrieval much faster. It also serves as a deterrent, making thieves think twice before stealing a car. Vehicle tracking devices are also used to track fleets of vehicles when businesses need to deploy a lot of them, as in the case of courier companies.
Mobile phone carriers are using GPS technology to offer location-specific services to their customers. This could be information on local events or the latest news. Some provide limited location tracking capabilities and navigation functionality. Moreover, some phone carriers are using GPS technology to provide location-based advertising.
Outdoor enthusiasts now have a new friend. Personal GPS devices are becoming extremely popular. Mountaineers and hikers are using personal GPS devices as an precautionary measure in case the unthinkable should happen and they get lost, they can be easily tracked with the GPS device that they have.
If you’re buying a piece of property, then it has probably been surveyed by the government. Land surveying is required to mark the boundaries of specific territories. People need accurate measuring tools to determine the exact land area of specific properties. GPS has become a surprisingly useful tool for accurate land measurements.
From yachts to large military vessels, GPS computers are a surprising addition to the maritime navigation tool set. GPS information is extremely accurate making it one of the essential devices to have when charting out routes.
Network Marketing lead generation; it’s the life blood of any MLM business and without leads, you’re sunk.
I have to be honest with you, I am not a fan of purchasing network marketing leads at any price; never have been and never will be. Why? Because I am not in control.
So what do I mean by not being in control? Well, the simple fact is because I wasn’t the one who generated the leads I have no idea of how fresh they are, what qualifying process was used to generate them and the biggest bugbear being how many other people are using the exact same leads I’ve got.
Network Marketing Lead List
It’s one of the greatest lies in network marketing. When you join a business, most often you’re told to head over to a Network Marketing lead generation outfit and purchase a bunch of leads.
You’ll usually be given several options to choose from best qualified to least qualified but being ambitious and wanting to get away to a good start you’ll more than likely purchase the top bracket leads which could set you back several hundred dollars.
Now it’s okay to be thinking at this stage with such top quality leads building your MLM business will be a “piece of cake.” So you set about calling people and one by one, they fall by the wayside. Most don’t answer the phone, those who do can’t remember requesting information about a business opportunity and then, you get those who like to dump on you in an uncomplimentary fashion.
How Fresh Are Your MLM Leads?
Maybe one or two will like more information but by this time, you are thinking maybe I just got a bad batch of leads. Fast forward several months down the track and with your bank balance a few thousand dollars lighter, you suddenly come to the realization maybe purchasing leads was not such a great idea.
Okay, so what if one or two people do join your business? Because MLM is based on downlines duplicating their upline’s business building systems, do you really think the one or two distributors “you might catch in your net” are really going to duplicate your efforts. Will you tell them it cost you several thousand dollars and calling hundreds, possibly thousands of phone numbers of network marketing leads for very little success?
Network Marketing lead generation can be successful but you need to be the one who is in control. Relying on second or third party leads can be a shortcut to the “poor house.” Sure, buying leads works but it usually works best for those with big downlines who have hundreds of distributors calling acting on thousands and thousands of purchased MLM leads.
A network marketing duplication system - it will guarantee you success if you’ll just follow the system… how often have you heard that statement?
So why do over 95% of MLM’ers fail in this business? Is it the network marketing system which has failed them? No sir, in most cases the system is great but failure has more than likely resulted from what is known as human nature.
The concept of network marketing works on the principle of duplication. Duplicate the system and the results will follow. Problem is, most MLM’ers get the system confused with their upline. What do I mean by this?
Simply put, a system is duplicable but people are not. Get this and you will get an idea of why so many people fail in this business. The best analogy for a successful system is McDonalds. You’ve probably heard the story a million times. The burgers produced probably aren’t the best in the world but the reason McDonalds is so successful is because of the system put in place which is duplicated right around the world. It works and it gets results.
People are not duplicable. Many distributors fall for the trap of trying to be like their sponsor, upline or some MLM superstar from years gone by. They put these people on a pedestal and see them as some sort of guru. This is a big mistake.
Sure, your upline is important in helping you achieve the results you’re after but if you ignore the network marketing duplication system put in place and instead, try to imitate what someone else is doing who is not following the system then you are doomed to failure.
So you’re asking… shouldn’t you mold yourself around successful people? Well yes, but if this success wasn’t built around the successful system put in place in your current circumstance, then why go against something which is producing results. Just give it a chance.
When I started with a company in 2001 I joined a group who rigidly followed an MLM system which produced fast growth. From the prospecting to the follow up training, every one was encouraged to stick to the plan. I did, and grew my downline in quick fashion; at least in network marketing terms.
The prospecting tools included the initial flier, followed by an information pack designed to prequalify prospects and when they joined my business they were put thought a six week focus group as part of their training. It continually amazed me how this duplicable system kept getting results.
It also amazed and confounded me when people wanted to alter the system such as removing items from the information pack because they didn’t like them. You can guess the result.
A network marketing duplication system may come in many different forms across many different companies but it’s the core essence of building a strong and sustainable MLM business.
Hands up if you’ve purchased countless names and phone numbers from network marketing lead generation services only to be disappointed time and time again with the results?
You are not alone. Let’s face it, the odds are stacked against you building your business from the ground up by purchasing leads.
Let me make it clear…

Knowing how to handle your first phone conversation with a prospect is just about the best network marketing tool you can possess.
Many MLM’ers search for the right tools to help them get their business off to a flying start but in all honesty, the best network marketing tool lives within you and it’s simply a matter of developing it.
Network Marketing Tool - First Contact
It’s so important to be able to connect with a prospects wants and needs during first contact that it cannot be understated. This first call should both establish a prospect’s why and establish you as the person with the solution.
You are basically a facilitator of a solution. The initial conversation should establish a mutual and meaningful discussion between you and your prospect.
The problem with many distributors is they are so eager to pour out their emotions about how great their business and products are that before they know it, they’ve sabotaged any chance of the prospect wanting to take a look at any further information.
Why?
Well simply put, they’ve made this first phone conversation all about them. Believe it or not, the person on the other end of the line could not give “two hoots” about your company and products. All they are interested in is whether your offer can benefit them. So, let’s dig into your network marketing tool arsenal and come up with a simple process in establishing the prospect’s why.
Network Marketing Tool - 6 Questions You Should Ask
Okay, let’s look at six questions you need to ask during that all important first conversation. These questions will give you a good idea of where the prospect is really at regarding a home based business.
Remember, this is just an initial contact and you are not selling anything. It’s all about the prospect and you are just evaluating their current situation.
1. After initial introductions always ask whether this is a good time to speak?
2. Are they still looking for a home based business or have they found one?
3. Next, you need to ask how long they have been on the search for a home based business?
4. Have they found anything that has peaked their interest?
5. Now it’s time to delve a little deeper. What is the most important thing in the prospect’s life? If they had no financial restrictions what would they devote most of their time to?
6. Finally, you need to establish their level of desire because without any desire, they probably won’t be a good fit for you as a business associate. Use a number scale such as 1 to 5 or 1 to 10. Ask them what their level of desire is. Set a number you are willing to accept as a reasonable level to work with such as 6 or 7 out of 10. Any lower and you should consider whether it would be feasible to continue on with them.
I am often asked… “can you make money network marketing?” My response is usually…”sure, if I can make money network marketing then anyone can.”
It’s a vague response I know but the truth is, today, with the internet such a prominent and active part of our day-to-day lives the opportunity for MLM’ers to attract targeted prospects into their business funnel has never been greater.
Online Network Marketing Vs. Offline
This has been a hotly debated topic in recent years with the battle lines drawn between the offline and online network marketing crowds. The old style MLM’ers have vigorously defended the old style methods while the new breed of networkers have seen the light and incorporated online marketing methods into their businesses.
Who is right and who is wrong? I’m here to tell you I’ve been in both worlds and while offline methods have their place, the ability to make money network marketing on the internet is very real.
Finding a balance between the two is the ideal scenario but the simple truth is, many people just don’t possess the skill set to work their businesses in a face-to-face fashion. That’s okay. So what advantages does network marketing online have over offline.?
Make Money Network Marketing Online
1. Most people don’t like to cold call their friends, relatives and strangers about their business opportunity.
2. Running your business online means you can take advantage of the automated processes. What are they? How about websites, blogs and autoresponders to firstly attract targeted prospects and secondly, to keep them in the loop periodocally via automated emails.
3. Geographic locations are no longer a problem. Once you had to drive long distances to conduct meetings. Today, processes such as webinars have shortened the distance limitations between uplines and their downlines meaning communication via meetings can now be conducted at the “drop of a hat.”
4. Signing up new people into your business can be performed entirely online.
5. Attracting the most qualified people into your business is one of the biggest advantages of doing MLM online. Why? Instead of applying the dreaded 3 foot rule where every one within arm’s length is considered a prospect, now, methods such as:
- blogging,
- article marketing and
- pay-per-click advertising
means you can target those people who are specifically looking for your opportunity. Still think you can’t make money network marketing?
This is my favourite method for making money online and the one I know most about. The best way to describe affiliate marketing is by an example. Imagine you have just written an ebook. I, as an Affilorama review, will offer to sell your book for you, for a commission. Commissions usually range from 50-200%, so you can see how lucrative Affilorama marketing really can be. Since more and more people are going online to buy things, it really is a great time to get involved! And if you’re wondering about what sort of products have affiliate programs, my answer would be, what product doesn’t have an Affilorama review program??
So basically, the more targeted people you can send to sales pages, the more money you will make. It’s more complicated than that, but check out some of my other articles to make it simpler for you.
There are four main ways (There are a few others) that affiliates send traffic to merchant sites.
The first way is called Direct Linking. This is where you send someone directly to the merchants site, via your affiliate link. There are various ways you can do this, some of which will be covered in later articles. While this is the easiest method of affiliate marketing, it doesn’t always produce the best results.
Another method of driving traffic to merchant sites is by using what are called Landing Pages. Landing pages are designed specifically to make the visitor more likely to buy something and to then make sure they actually visit the merchant’s page. If used correctly, a landing page is usually more successful than direct linking, due to credibility.
The third method is to create Content Sites. These are sites packed with useful information that cause the visitor to return again and again. This way, the visitor will most likely make a purchase and in the meantime, you can make money off google Adsense, which will be covered in a future article.
The last, but not least method is the Squeeze page. These are very basic sites whose aim it is to “squeeze” the visitors name and email. This can be very useful, because it allows you to build a list of potential customers. Most people will not buy the first time they visit your site, so being able to contact them until they unsubscribe off your list is extremely valuable.
